FIRST DAY:
First day: 29th of May
We started our 21st Century Skills with Augmented Reality Apps and Green Screen today. First of all we reach the High School in which the course starts. This is a High School specialized in technical subjects such as graphic design and cooking. We met Gülen, our tutor and we had a formal presentation while waiting for a group of teachers from Romania, as well. We had an icebreaker activity to get to know each other answering to different personal questions. It was funny to listen to the answers!
And we got our badge since tomorrow we will participate in a big festival!
Then we had a part about how information and Communications Technology (ICT) can impact student learning when teachers are digitally literate and understand how to integrate it into curriculum.
After that we talked about different tools and how each kind of tool depends on many aspects (age of students, informatic knowledge, the aim of the task, etc.)
So we had several examples and lists of tools for every kind of use, such as presentation, editing videos, questionnaires, organizations of information, storytelling, etc.
We had such a heap amount of information, we had to take a break, but a Turkish break!
The last part of our day was talking about a very interesting and innovative aspect of the teaching and learning, that is the AI intelligence.
It has been amazing for us to know the huge and also dangerous impact of AI on the life of everyday and also on the learning process. We tried ChatGPT and also Cohesive AI intelligence to write stories and redactions. It was astonishing! We also used GAMMA to make very professional presentations in less than one minute on every kind of topic.
So our aim was to find a blind point of the AI and we found it in two parts:
The first was on an aethic content (we wrote a provocative sentence and it couldn't answer to that).
And the second was to ask for an opinion on actuality just like the Turkish elections! It could not be answered!
So we finished our session reflecting on the things that make humans different from the AI that are the mistakes and the critical thinking.
Treating the use of technology in education we must move one step further to learn the future Technologies to know them and manage them wisely. It has been such a deep analysis that I can say we had a lot of input in the first day course!

SECOND DAY:
30th of May: Second day.
In our school there was a festival about many project "agenda 2030".
At the beginning students and teachers arrived with different objects and self made manufacturies. They organized everything in a big space and the exhibition started.
When every stands were ready, the director of the school and other teachers cut the tape and each stand was presented from the students who worked in that.
Stands were about points of agenda 2030. In particular they underlined the idea of recycle, artifact and human rights.
Stand were organized by a local Erasmus project: many schools of the districts participated, either primary schools or high schools. Later there was a buffet with food prepared from students. Enjoy your meal!

THIRD DAY:
31th of May: Third day
We had a really funny session about the use of Green Screen. We went to the studio of Dermen in Büyükçekmece and the first step was to know some about the Green Screen technology.
We actually found out the best and simplest way to get a studio is to paint a whole wall in green. You also should put a green ground to not have any problems and to have a more professional setting. Another important thing is to have some lights.
They told us which are the best applications to work on the green screen.
Then we had a little break with some bread made by the students of the gastronomy school, and we continued the session with a practical part.
We were divided in groups and each group had to think of a topic, choose the brief speech to say and then we had to act having the green behind us. We decided to talk about our city Livorno and we had a Terrazza Mascagni background.
It was very funny!
The last part of the session was to think and reflect on how each of us could use that technology to improve the quality of our classes.
And we discussed a lot about the competences we could improve throughout the green screen.
Those are really a lot and since it is a very low cost technology it worth it!

FOURTH DAY:
1th of June: Fourth day.
The main themes of the lesson were virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
There is a big difference between them: virtual reality allow us to act in places totally invented and maybe fantasy; augmented reality allow us to add some 3D persons, animals or things to the reality around us.
There is a difference also about instruments we need to use them: for VR a specific viewer and a cellphone, otherwise for AR some cards and a downloaded app on our smartphone or tablet or iPad; furthermore for AR there are some free apps that doesn't need cards or other things.
We spoke among us about the ways to use them in teaching. AR seems easier to use at school: it doesn't need expensive instruments and it's fast and funny to use.
Every subjects can be teached by VR and AR, but they are especially suggested for science, history and art.Very good lesson, very practical and useful.

LAST DAY!
3rd of June: Last day!
We had a final session with some feedback trials! We first had a kahoot to refresh some topics of the course.
Then we talked about which is the most useful tool and technology we have learnt about during these days.
Each of us have a different audience at school so what can be very useful for our Romanian is not for our 12/13 years old students.
We also discussed the multiple competences we can improve throughout those itc tools.
The last part was a Google forms to value the course itself. We think they gave us very powerful tools to use in small time. We had a very exciting and interesting time.
Then we had the final with certificates and good-byes!
